8 mins DIY Microwave Chocolate Cake
This is an amazing recipe which my lovely friend shared with me its just amazing and so easy to make. perfect when you are craving for a delicious chocolate cake !!!
You'll need:
For the cake
• 100 gm melted butter or 100 ml of vegetable oil
• 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
• 150 gm sugar
• 100 gm self raising flour
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup milk
For the chocolate ganache
100g chocolate, broken into pieces
5 tbsp double cream
Steps procedure
1- In a large bowl, add in all your dry ingredients and mix. Create a well in the center.
2- Lightly whisk your eggs with a fork in a separate bowl. Incorporate in your dry ingredients.
3- Add in melted butter/oil and milk. Mix everything until you obtain an even mixture without lumps. You can add in chocolate chips/ raisins/ almonds/ pistachios/ any nuts/ orange zest at this point or you can just leave the batter plain.
4- Pour in a greased pan. Gently tap to pop any air bubbles then bake in the microwave for 8 minutes. you know your cake is ready when a wooden skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean
Allow your cake to stand for 5 mins, then turn it out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
For the ganache, simply melt the chocolate for approximately 2 mins, stirring every 30 secs until melted. Add the cream and mix thoroughly until smooth and glossy.
Garnish with anything you like. You can serve now or you if you're preparing it ahead of time, I recommend chilling it for about an hour or 2 for extra yumminess .
